High School Scholarship Competition 2026

1st (Recorded) Round Deadline: December 6, 2025, 11:59pm MDT
$35 application fee
2nd (Live) Round: January 10, 2026, 2:00pm MDT
Riverton Music Store Sandy
1st (Recorded) Round: Performers will register and submit an unedited audio (only) recording of two contrasting pieces by December 6, 2025, 11:59 PM MDT. Recordings will be received as part of the application as an unlisted YouTube link. Piano is not required. Finalists will be selected and notified by mid-December 2025.
Final (Live) Round: Selected finalists will compete in the live round in recital format at Riverton Music in Sandy. This recital is open to the public and will serve as both a competition and a celebration of our high school seniors. Judges will announce the winners at the end of the recital, with light refreshments provided.
Each finalist will be able to rehearse and perform with Dr. Mitchell Giambalvo the week of the competition at Riverton Music. Competitors will not be charged a pianist fee for this opportunity.

Winners will be awarded the following prizes:
First Place Winner: $1000
Second Place: $750
Third Place: $500
Honorable Mention: $100
