The Utah Flute Convention on March 21, 2026, takes place at the Caine School of Music at Utah State University, with performances and educational experiences for flutists of all levels.
Highlights include a masterclass recital with jazz flutist Ali Ryerson, an orchestral excerpt mock audition, youth classes, and a flute choir reading. Attendees can also experience the Artist Performer competition finals, as well as interactive jazz and improvisation workshops and recitals designed for players at every stage of their musical journey.

In-Person Competition
March 20,2026, 4-9 pm
The 2026 UFA Sonata Competition provides flutists of all ages an opportunity to perform diverse classical and jazz repertoire across multiple levels, from beginners to professionals. An optional sight-reading component is offered at each level for added performance experience and feedback.
The UFA Artist Performer division features professional flutists from Utah and Idaho in a two-round competition culminating live at the 2026 UFA Convention, with a $500 cash prize awarded to the winner in the in person performance. Recorded Deadline January 24th, 2026, 11:59PM MST
